Out-of-Pocket Expenses

Estimate: $2,050 (note: we used estimates for these expenses that we anticipate apply to everyone; there will be additional out-of-pocket expenses, but because they apply to individuals differently and at varying cost, they are included in the narrative below for your consideration)

$1,000 Non-Refundable Down Payment and Payment Schedule
If you are accepted into this Global Learning program by the faculty leader and you decide to click "commit" in your EdAbroad application, a $1000 non-refundable down payment will be billed to your student account. The $1000 non-refundable down payment will appear within seven days after clicking "commit," and you will then have 30 days to pay it in full before late fees accrue. After you commit to paying this expense, you are responsible for paying it, even if you change your mind and withdraw your application before the 30-day payment period concludes. The reason for this strictness is that the EdAbroad office begins committing funds for your participation after you commit and the program is confirmed, and it is often not possible to recuperate those committed funds. Please note that this down payment is due regardless of financial aid status. The remaining program balance is due after registration and will also be charged to your student account. If you are seeking Financial Aid for this program, the remaining payments (after the $1000) will be deferred until you are awarded your Financial Aid funds. The $1,000 down payment will be refunded only if the entire program itself is cancelled.
